COVID-19 Policy

Millbank Land Academy Ltd COVID-19 Policy Statement

As COVID-19 and it's variants continue to spread globally, organisations are still facing ongoing uncertainty and challenging circumstances.

When it comes to the running of our business, we are very fortunate that the large majority of our business activity has been able to continue with our people working from home.

Training events have become more difficult to plan and deliver in light of government guidelines around social distancing, but fortunately a lot of live training can be delivered online and only a relatively small proportion needs to be done face to face.

We have been working to adjust our usual approach to ensure that:

  • We run training events online and/or on-demand wherever possible
  • When we gather for events, we have minimal team members
  • Social distancing is embedded into all our live in-person events
  • All team members and clients follow the ‘do’s and don’ts of how to stop infection spreading

We are now delivering all our training and events either online as a live broadcast from a training room with a small live audience (hybrid events), or as on-demand training on our digital platform, to allow people to participate in our programmes safely from home.

Spaces in the live audience for our hybrid events are limited (dependent on the current government guidelines) and we are using larger rooms to ensure we respect social distancing guidelines wherever possible.  We hope to be able to hold larger events again soon, however we will be operating a vastly reduced programme of in-person events for the foreseeable future.

We only run events at venues that enable us to easily maintain social distancing, conduct thorough and regular deep cleans, and have a number of hand sanitation stations available.  Refreshments and lunches are all now provided in personal, safe containers.

We also ensure that we have a plan B in place in case we have a situation where a team member is exposed to COVID-19 or shows symptoms in the lead up to an event – in which case they would not attend the event or, in extreme cases, the event may be cancelled.

COVID-19 is changing the way we think about work and the way we actually do our work.  Video conference calls were already a familiar work practice for us and fortunately now more and more people are comfortable with Zoom and open to meeting and training online.

We continue to send our kindest wishes and regards to anyone who is currently personally impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and our warmest thanks to those on the front lines.

If you would like to discuss our training or handle any specific concerns you have, please do get in touch.  We would love to hear from you and explore ways that we can move through this current situation together and come out of it stronger, with new insights and ways of working.
